Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Humans are able to adapt movement patterns in order to achieve our functional goals. When we hurt, we change the way we move.

“We don’t limp because it hurts – we limp because it hurts less”  (That’s actually my own quote!)

Life is about moving, but pain or injury can restrict your movement and reduce your enjoyment of day to day living. Wherever your pain is, you slowly stop doing the things you like to do and then the things you need to do. Pain and injuries can make your body move in ways which may cause further problems elsewhere and so the process goes on.

You need to break the pain cycle.

At our initial appointment we take a thorough history, assess your movement quality and range, diagnose the potential source of your pain or problem and form a suitable treatment plan. You will leave with a better understanding of why you have pain, what we can do about it together and most of all, hope.

Chronic pain problems are often associated with a broader range of general health and lifestyle concerns. If your situation demands it, I will use my wide network of fellow health professionals to work in collaboration to ensure all aspects are covered.

I can help you with:

Understanding persistent pain

Regaining movement freedom and reducing fear of activity

Manual therapy & exercise programs for the home, gym, Pilates or your preferred choice

Postural awarenes and endurance

Fitness & conditioning

Regaining control and enjoying life again
